It’s back to school time for the Giant Retail Academy! We launched this new program earlier this year as part of our increased commitment to retail support and a major remodel at our headquarters in Newbury Park, California. Hundreds of attendees have already had a chance to experience our new showroom and training space, and we’re ramping up classes for the upcoming season.

For fall and winter 2017-2018, we are bringing back our Market Influencer Training sessions, and also adding more classes for owners and managers as well as a new program focusing on the Liv brand and products. So far there are at least 10 sessions available for the Market Influencer Training between now and April 2018. We also have four sessions planned for owners and managers called People, Places and Planning, as well as two Liv-focused sessions in December.

Here’s a look at our upcoming Giant Retail Academy sessions:

Market Influencer Training

This training is geared toward staff who have day-to-day contact with customers. Participants will learn all about our latest products directly from Giant and Liv product and brand managers. We introduce Giant’s Retail Engagement, a method to share our passion for cycling and bike culture.

People, Places and Planning

These sessions are aimed at shop owners and managers. The class sizes are small, limited to 10-12 participants per session, and the format is a combination of instructional and roundtable. This offers participants a great opportunity to network with fellow retailers and share best practices on topics including HR management, marketing, metrics and service, along with daily and long-term business planning.
